Steady Fred

I like to call this guy Steady Fred. This is one of the most imfamous bums of Philadelphia. He just stands there, sometimes for hours in the same spot, with an evil grin on his face.

He never begs for change, and wears the same heavy winter coat all year, even during August.

This is a 4" exposure taken around dusk. I was just lucky enough to have my camera and tripod with me at the time. I had been wanting to get this shot for months because I would always see him but never had a tripod with me.

If you look closely you can see the outlines of a bus, lots of people and cars, but Steady Fred is the only person to show up because he was standing still.
